Divido founder Christer Holloman accepts Queen’s Award for Enterprise for contributions to innovation

LONDON – Thursday 29th April, 2021: Divido, the leading whitelabel platform for retail finance, has, today, been awarded the honour of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category.

The revered award, approved by Her Majesty The Queen, recognises British excellence in business, with the Innovation category shining a light on those organisations that push the limits of transformational enterprise.

Award winners receive a visit from Her Majesty The Queen’s personal representative, The Lord-Lieutenant of the county, followed by a celebration at a Buckingham Palace reception later in the year. However, due to Covid restrictions, some of these arrangements will change this year.

To be recognised as a Queen’s Awards recipient in the Innovation category is particularly gratifying, further validating our approach to transforming retail finance and, in parallel, partnering with traditional lenders to drive their innovation.

Christer Holloman, CEO, Divido

Christer Holloman, CEO and founder, Divido, said: ‘To receive an award is always a great privilege but to have Her Majesty The Queen’s stamp of quality on what we do is a very great honour for us at Divido.

‘To be recognised as a Queen’s Awards recipient in the Innovation category is particularly gratifying, further validating our approach to transforming retail finance and, in parallel, partnering with traditional lenders to drive their innovation.’

The award comes following a series of recognitions for Divido’s commitment to innovation and growth, having previously been recognised as 83rd fastest growing company in Europe by the Financial Times’ FT1000 as well as one of the 50 fastest growing tech firms in the UK by Deloitte’s UK Technology Fast 50.

About the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise is an awards programme for British businesses and other organizations who excel at international trade, innovation, sustainable development or promoting opportunity (through social mobility). They are the highest official UK awards for British businesses.

The scheme was established as The Queen’s Award to Industry by a royal warrant of 30 November 1965, and individual categories have been known in the past as The Queen’s Awards for Export, Export Achievement, Technology, Technological Achievement and Environmental Achievement.

The scheme also includes an award for individuals, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion.
